Principal’s Message

Dear Howard Gardner Community School Family & Friends,

It is with great pride and excitement that I continue serving Howard Gardner Community School as your Executive Director.  I look forward to partnering with you to ensure all children are well educated, celebrated and whole-child supported.  Together, we will maintain our tradition of excellence and community that makes HGCS such a special place to learn and work.

This marks my 22nd year in education. As a dedicated educator, I am driven by the individual success and growth of every student. I sincerely believe in meeting each child and stakeholder where they are and creating individualized plans for growth.  I have devoted my career to educating, inspiring, and advocating for students, both as a classroom teacher and as an administrator. I am excited to bring my passion, enthusiasm, and experience to cultivate the unique educational programs that Howard Gardner has to offer. Above all, I am excited to observe, listen, learn, and understand what makes HGCS thrive.

At the heart of my practice is building strong relationships with the staff, students, and families I serve. I look forward to listening to your ideas and vision for our school and collaborating with each of you to support our sense of community here at Howard Gardner Community School.  As your Executive Director, I will strive to ensure that all families feel welcome and connected to our school family. Please be on the lookout for upcoming HGCS Newsletter with updates and family events, but also know that I would love to hear from you at any time.

I know many of our students and families have eagerly anticipated the full reopening of our campus as we at HGCS feel the most effective learning happens when we are all together and in person.   Your child’s, the staff and your safety will always be my priority and we have worked tirelessly to put measures into place that will make HGCS a safe place to learn and work.

Please feel free to contact me by email at [email protected] or by calling our school office at (619) 934 – 0300. I welcome any questions or ideas you would like to share.

Being the Change,

Danielle L. Taylor, Ed.D
